Expert Witness
We have been engaged to act as Expert Witness for developers, contractors and insurance companies.
For example, following a large-scale landslide in 2003 in Western Ireland, AGEC was engaged by the developer to carry out the following:
- Forensic investigation of the landslide
- Report on the causes of the landslide
- Investigate and report on the stability of the entire site to enable safe completion of the development
- Slope stability analyses of the existing natural peat slopes with respect to construction activity with subsequent geohazard zonation of the site.
We represented the developer in the subsequent litigations and we are engaged to undertake an annual geotechnical inspection of site.
